I love this sat nav, I bought it from sony direct and got it a day and half later.
The interface is easy to use and straight forward! With the wide screen it makes it easy to see while driving, you get voice commands which are accurate and symbols also help when dealing with complicated junctions.
One of my concerns was how good the reception would be when I ordered it!
However since I have recieved it I haven't lost reception once (reception is lost when inside buildings).
I'm also very Impressed with the detail of the maps from the the major roads all the way down to rural road in Ireland.
It also comes with a cradle and sucktion cup that seems to stick to the dash of the car with amazing grip!
I would highly recommend this product. |

I usually refrain from giving reviews for products- because they normally perform slightly above or below what is expected, and fortunately I haven't bought anything so bad that it warranted a poor review.
However, I recently bought the NV-73TW and I have to make some comments. Bad points- there aren't many, the only gripe is that sometimes you have to push the touch- screen a couple of times to get any response. But this is far outweighed by its performance. I've just returned from a driving holiday to southern Italy, via France, Switzerland and Germany. The only problem occured when it sent me down a narrow street and it was blocked by a peasant's van, I did a three point turn and it redirected me to my destination. While in a hotel in darkest Italy, and in need of some beer and being cautious of mini bar prices, opened the window and it informed me that a local super-market was 851 metres away- Although I took many maps I only referred to them when planning which city to drive to next. I am very impressed. |

| I loved my Sony sat nav, but today I pluged the charger in and on the screen a picture of a battery came up with a line through it, I tried to wiggle it, tried another car, pleaded with it! No joy, it is as dead as a door nail, do any of the Sony sat nav fans have any similar experiances? if so can you passs on a solution? It is only fifteen months old, I went into the Sony shop at Lakeside in Essex, but he told me to through it away, cheers!!!!!!! |
Great product - but discontinued and no support after 2010

| This is a great sat nav product, build quality is excellent and ease of use too. The major drawback is that SONY have announced they are withdrawing from the sat nav market and no longer sell the units. Because of this, support will cease in 2010 and it will therefore not be possible to update the maps. Considering the supplied maps are already more than a couple of years old, it will age very quickly. |
